Despite all the Corona perils, the anniversary committee can report that we are still completely on schedule for a fantastic celebration of our 50th anniversary as Morgan Sports Car Club Holland on 19, 20 and 21 August 2022.
It is of course a road with obstacles; where previously the work discussions in preparation for the event still took place in “de Witte Bergen” or at another branch with toucan, some time ago we had to switch back to “Self Catering” at one of the committee members at home because the catering industry was forced to close its doors .
When we write this article, we are exactly two years before the 50th anniversary weekend of our Club!
So you think “it will take a long time and we still have years” and you see that time is moving faster than you think. But fortunately we are not surprised because we are not sitting still; step by step we are getting closer to a beautiful lustrum celebration.
The design of the lustrum badge is displayed at the head of this article. So now we are working on the realization and production of that badge. It would be a missed opportunity not to also look at the possibilities to have this artistic design embroidered on a beautiful lustrum polo that you could order in advance, to your size, so that you can look just as shiny during the lustrum weekend. as your Morgan.
We have made a choice! In recent months, a number of enthusiasts from and around the club have been working on a badge design for the 50th anniversary. Some were so inspired that they came up with multiple designs. First of all, the lustrum committee would like to thank everyone here who took this effort and compliment them on the creative designs. Ultimately, only one winning badge can be chosen and we present that design here with great enthusiasm. The winning badge is a design by Simone Flipsen.
The approach is that the badge will not only be used as an actual lustrum badge for your car, but will also form the logo for this festive event and thus be a recurring design that you will also find on printed matter and lustrum regalia.
